Cedar Bluff vs Country Side Dr Subway. Food City is across this Subway store. There was a local school car wash in their parking lot. After picking up my child, my husband and I decided to go to pick up 2 salads, 1 ft long meatball sub and 1 - 6 inch meatball sub. We walked in, there was a gentleman in front of us. He ordered. She started fixing his sub. He made small talk with her and she was complaining about how busy she's been all day and she was alone and how she had a "50 sub hour"... must be the sub lingo. Either way a new couple came in, and her facial expression... tight lipped and upset. We gave her our order and she blurted the F bomb in front of us and the gentleman next to us. We then told her not to worry about our order, we will go somewhere else. As we were walking out, all she said was "are you sure" Ah yeah!
She had dark red hair and a tattoo on her right forearm.
We understand that she may have been busy... and it's tough to catch a break sometimes... however when working with the public under any circumstance - you should be composed. One customer at a time. We then went to Subway at Cedar Bluff and we had our order taken care of by a wonderful lady named Beth. -

Found a fly in my food.
Not sure if it was in the veggies but it was there. Be cautious going there.
The food is just like any other subway and service was fantastic.
The restaurant looked pretty clean on the floor but there was bread in the couch. -

An odd encounter as I approach the door AN ENTIRE HOUR before close. after driving 20 min to the only open subway, a woman working is sitting in a dining chair alone inside and looking at me like the bubonic plague. I asked if they were open, to which I got no response. Then left. Weird.

Stingy on vegetables and very unfriendly. Manager had the employee put back some of the shredded cheese for my salad. The cheese that had already touched the chicken.. Seems the manager despises everyone who walks into the store.

This location was recently updated and the look is much fresher/modern than the typical Subway. They have installed three order kiosk at the front door or you can order as usual at the counter.
The food is on par with a typical Subway. It's not great or bad - just typical Subway.
The staff was friendly.
It may be me, but the cookies seem smaller than at other Subways.
I'm rating them two stars for the following reasons. If they can correct these deficiencies I'll raise it to four stars.
1) The order kiosk are aggravating to use. The touch screen I used didn't register touches very well. Almost half my selections took two to three taps to work. I'm an IT worker and work with touch technology daily. This would be considered a fail at my company.
2) Apple Pay did not work. I attempted to use it three times. The first time it came up and had me confirm on the phone. Then on the kiosk the transaction failed. The next two attempts just said to try again on the kiosk.
3) Chip on card did not work. I inserted it into the payment slot and it would not read it. I finally resorted to swiping my AmEx the less secure old school way. This is the same card that is used for Apple Pay.
4) The kiosk isn't any faster than the line. Actually slower due to payment and touch difficulty. The person that came in the door after me paid and was gone before I finally was able to get my order completed. The person that was in line and hadn't paid yet also was done before mine came out.
5) They are stingy with napkins.
